Stephen Blair

Stephen is NZTE's Trade Commissioner and Consul General based in Melbourne. Prior to this appointment, Stephen was a Customer Manager in Tauranga.

Before joining NZTE, Stephen worked in the banking sector and for the Australian Government, most recently at Austrade in New Zealand where he managed the trade and investment team. Stephen has also held a variety of senior management roles in Australia including the Australian Government’s task force responsible for developing the Global Opportunities Industry Statement, and as National Operations Manager of the business advisory service, Enterprise Connect.

Stephen attended North Carolina State University on scholarship, and is a graduate of Victoria University of Wellington in Economic History and History.

Stephen will also outline NZTE’s role, and how we work to grow companies bigger, better and faster, in Australia and other markets, for the benefit of New Zealand.
