Wise Boys was started in 2016 by two Auckland brothers who quit their corporate careers to build a food truck made from recycled material, starting New Zealand’s first 100% vegan food truck. Following the popularity of the food truck the brothers then launched two successful burger restaurants in central Auckland.
The whole ethos of the business is sustainability in the truest sense of the word. Not greenwashing, but an honest commitment to making food that is as good for the planet as possible, without compromising on quality and taste. When Tim and Luke went vegan and vegetarian with their own diets, the lack of satisfying options combined with a Kiwi can-do attitude led to them thinking: “why don’t we just make it ourselves?". So they developed burger patties, sauces, and flavour combinations from scratch. The brand is now known for making 100% vegan food accessible and delicious.
