Marisa Bidois (Ngāti Ranginui, Ngāti Raukawa) serves as the Chief Executive of the Restaurant Association of New Zealand, bringing to bear extensive expertise in leadership, media, government relations, and Employment and Industrial Relations. Her substantial experience in senior roles spans across Tourism, Hospitality, and Essential Services sectors. In government, Marisa has worked in an advisory capacity with multiple agencies, contributing significantly to raft of different areas, along with influencing policy within various departments. Her robust advocacy skills, coupled with an insightful understanding of hospitality employers' needs, have firmly established her as a pioneering force in the industry. This has culminated in her recognition as one of 2023's most inspiring women in Food.
The Hospitality Fair Pay Agreement has now been approved by MBIE. This places new legal obligations on employers. There has been some confusion and misinformation around FPA’s.
