Pilot Brewery

From humble beginnings, in a barn beside an airfield, a group of pilots, aviation and craft beer enthusiasts began brewing their own beer. 24 months later and still based in Te Kowhai, Hamilton, Pilot Brewery are off to a flying start with their first four creations, Low Vis, Full Rich, Avgas and Microlight.

Pilot beer is designed and crafted in their own boutique micro-brewery brewery. As one shareholder commented, “we are not trying to create a technically correct craft beer, we set out from the beginning to create beer that we like to drink”. That philosophy may not sit well with the craft beer elite among us, but it’s certainly proving popular with their customers!
