There’s only one thing better than J.C.’s Quality foods nuts and dried fruit and that’s their story. Joe Cannatelli started J.C.’s over 15 years ago with a single product, a fruit bar and a single delivery vehicle, Mum and Dads 1984 Commodore.

Joe grew up on an apple orchard in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne, where his parents ran a 7-day a week fruit and veg store. It was these tough and humble beginnings that Joe developed a love of the “mum and dad” store and fresh produce, including nuts.

After a stint at an economics degree at University, Joe was working with his dad, Frank in the family fruit shop and doing big hours in the hustle and bustle of Footscray’s Wholesale Market when he decided to have a go at his own fruit shop in Melbourne’s east.

A very long story short, the confectionary line Joe had on his counter was selling better than his fruit and veg! So, in the afternoons, while mum looked after the shop, Joe was off distributing this single line to other fruit shops in the area and you guessed it, J.C.’s Quality Foods was born.

Now J.C.’s is not only National but International and is a market leader in the Nut and dried fruit industry. Sticking to what Joe knows best, the independent market, he is fiercely loyal to this sector and it shows with his many happy customers, how does he do it you ask? “a great team, great service and an even better product” says Joe.

J.C.’s has now become synonymous with quality, service and leads the way with fresh and tasty, Australian and Imported nuts and dried fruit, exciting new mixes, including the very famous J.C.’s Original Delicious Energy Mix and J.C.’s Original Quality Outback mix, including a huge range of honey, condiments, snacks and everything in between to give his customers an edge and point of difference.
